Easter 2010 Take 2

No rest for the weary...the child who normally sleeps until 8AM on weekends was up and at 'em at 6:38AM today. We fended off being roused for about 20 minutes, she'd already been up and down the stairs and knew the Easter Bunny had paid a visit.

She hunted eggs and her basket, then we headed to Boston for our favorite Easter brunch at the Hyatt Harborside. We had a private room again this year, even though we were down in numbers. It was directly across from the kid room which the same wonderful woman staffs each year, the kids can watch Disney movies and make bracelets and decorate eggs and color...you name it, it's there. Arden and Annette's 'little sister' Sabrina loved it and spent much of the time in there making gifts. Mostly for Annette.

After brunch we came home and got out of our fancy clothes and played outside in the fabulous warm weather. The Bunny brought the kid sidewalk crayons, we played football and just lounged in the sun.

Arden's night ended with a viewing of The Princess and the Frog, and now Dora and I are watching The Blind Side, which the Bunny included in *my* basket. This is on its way to being my new favorite flick...right up there with Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail.

It's been a great but exhausting weekend. Happy Easter, y'all!

Pictures!

Starting her hunt
That would have been a clever place to hide an egg. We didn't think of it, but she did. She loves this box. I wonder why we bother buying the child toys.

Eggs were high and low

Creepy half headed Dora basket.

Finding The Princess and Frog in the front closet

With her loot

Attempting to get some good photos. Attempting being the operative word.

Showing off her beautiful dress

One of the many faces of Arden

Spotting something

It was a bug...

I'm told he said hello to her...

And back to posing...the closest we got to a real smile. Sigh.

Hallelujah!

Posing at brunch

Before she ate, just in case.

Uncle Bobby learned new magic. On the way home ..."My Uncle Bobby is MAGICAL."

"Trickin' on" Uncle Bobby with Mandy

Seriously crazy magic.

Arden knows magic too.

Happy girl

Home with her sidewalk...well, driveway art.

Foot-basketball

Nothin' but net

Suspicious much?

How many more months until summer?
